Featured Favorite... March

Last year, we photographed a wedding in March for Brett and Deb. They are definitely some of our favorite people who we have had the pleasure of working for.

Brett and Deb are now expecting a new baby, and we're very excited because we are planning to be there to do the baby's 1st Moments session after he's born!!

The weekend after their honeymoon, we had a great time getting all their family together and friends together for the "unveiling" of their wedding DVD slideshow. Deb's mom made spaghetti. We had a fantastic dinner, then all gathered around for the show.

What a great time!

Thanks, Brett and Deb, for being such great customers, and congratulations on the upcoming new little one next month.

Josh & Shannon Behling
Pueblo, Colorado

Josh & Shannon were married on July 7th - 7/7/07! It was an outdoor wedding in Pueblo. The temperature got up to 103! Whew!

The Behlings had their finished disks with over 400 images, in just over a week, and their finished, 10" x 10", 20 page, leather album with over 100 images in just 40 days after their wedding day. That's a record for us, but we are striving to provide that same level of service for all our clients!

So, here's a follow-up Email from Josh.

Way behind...

We do everything we can to have our clients' wedding day images ready for them to preview when they return from their honeymoon. That means that their images are all processed (we digitally enhance every image our clients receive - between 300 and 500 regularly), and their wedding slideshow is created and burned, and their proof CD is created. We also have the first draft of their album design done and ready for them to preview. Most of our clients have approved their album designs with 0 - 4 changes.

This is a tall order, but it sets us apart from most other photographers, and it gets the client's finished wedding album to them in as little as 6 weeks after their wedding day.

So... as a result, we are way behind in our blogging, web show creation, and web site updates! Hopefully, you'll forgive us :-)

You can now view an abbreviated version of Kris' and Marion's wedding slideshow. This show is about 5 minutes long and contains about 1/4th of the final images they received.

Relationships

Weddings are times of establishing new relationships as well as connecting and reconnecting with existing relationships.

The relationships present on your wedding day are some of the most important elements of the day.

I don't know how many times I've seen the mothers start to cry as we're doing their portraits with either their daughter or their son - before the ceremony! Rather than have the mom and child just look at the camera with the common deer-in-the-headlights look, we always have mom and child look at each other. Usually, they goof around for a bit, but, then the emotions start to run high! Tears come. We don't script it - it just happens.

That's what we like to capture.

Your day - as it unfolds. As it happens.

That's why this image of Chris with his grandmother is one of my all-time favorites! I love his expression and the emotion that goes with it.

In fact, you can view a sample slideshow from Chris & Kristen's wedding. This is about 25% of the final images they received.

I put everything I have into making your day fun and enjoyable, PLUS capturing some great images you'll cherish for a lifetime.

Crazy couple of weeks

It's hard to believe how fast time can get away from us. Here it is already June 19. Summer is about to begin. Thankfully! It's been pretty cold out here in the country, so we're eager to see some warm weather.

The last couple of weeks have been full of weddings and seniors.

Congratulations go out to Sabrina and Wade, married May 26 at Tri-Lakes Chapel.    We had a great time with Sabrina & Wade, and loved some of the suggestions they made to us for photographs they wanted. My favorite was the one with Sabrina's dad and step-dad displaying their "Hoover Flags." They both cooperated comically and gave me some great "crying" faces to go along with their empty pockets. (Oh, if you don't know what Hoover Flags are - it's a reference to the Great Depression and the fact that no one had much money. Empty pockets turned inside out.)

We also did a recent Senior portrait session with Sabrina. We found some great new portrait spots in a location that we're used to using. Score!

Now, we're heavy into our wedding season, and are getting hired now for some Summer 2008 weddings.

...But we're very glad you did!! On a cool, and windy Saturday, March 31, we had the great pleasure of photographing Marion and Kris for their engagement session. Their wedding is coming up in June. Here's what Marion had to say.
