Some of you may have been readers of my Creation Adventures blog. That has now been rolled into my main blog, so it's time for a post about it.
In the spring and summer, I like to teach classes, primarily for homeschool students, on edible and medicinal wild plants of our region. We did one in April and another in May, and will be hosting another this month. Next Monday, June 11, as a matter of fact.
These have all been at Rock Ledge Ranch in Garden of the Gods. We have found over 35 species of plants we have identified and eaten.
We've enjoyed a salad made with wild mustard, onion, dandelion, and a few other treats. We also enjoyed spruce beer made from juniper needles.
It's all part of who we are. We homeschool. We are interested in wild plants and what we can eat when we're on hikes. So, we naturally converted that knowledge into a small class.
If you're interested in joining us in an upcoming class, just send me an Email.
Thanks for reading.
